My name is Nicholas Lee, I was born on November 20, 2000 in the Philippines. I am the seventh child of eight children. All my life, sports and music have been a large part of my life. Apart from my hobbies, I have an interest in the business and stem fields of study. I currently study at Loyola Marymount University, majoring in Applied Information Management Systems and minoring in Physics.
I have recently joined the LMU Men's crew, a division 1 sport in College. This sport in the collegiate level, is something very new to me. The position I was selected for is not a rower per se, but a coxswain. Essentially I lead the boats that have either four or eight people, by giving them specific commands, and I also steer the boat. Through the rigorous traning schedule, I have made a huge lifestyle change. Although I have never been a part of this sport in the revious years of my life, it is safe to say that I am moving forward with great progress. The rowing team recently entered a Grand Prix in Marina del Ray, earning the school third place oout of ten. There are more races to come in spring, and our progress so far has shown that there is a very good chance for us to win the championship.
I have a great many favorites, which include: sports and food! Sports has not only grown to become a hobby, but has become a passion that has been a huge part of my life. I have been playing sports since I was four years old. On the other hand, I love to eat food and have many favorites. I have traveled to many places and have tasted cuisines from all around the world. Although I cannot decide what my favorite foods are, I definitely have favorite cuisines.
Apart from my love for food and sports, I enjoy hiking up the stunning mountains of the Philippines. In high school, I would hike up to the summit of the mountain and camp for a night with a group of friends. I have been able to hike several mountains, three of which are my favorites, which include: Mount Pico De Loro, Mount Sembrano, and Mount batulao. In all that time, I was able to build s strong sense of camaraderie with my friends and have found hiking to be one of the most amazing experiences of my life, no to mention the amazing views from the summit.
